Labyrinth Night
Saturday, May 7, 7-9pm
In honor of World Labyrinth Day –we’ve made our own Labyrinth and are inviting you to participate – if you dare! There will be games, trivia and crafts that you must complete in order to survive the Labyrinth.  If you loved Percy Jackson this is the program for you. We will have refreshments and prizes. Geek Out… Leaping Frogs
Wednesday, May 11, 4-5pm
We’re going to have a little fun today. We’re having frog races. Let’s see who will win. We’ll have refreshments and even a few surprises.BPY500


North Shore Animal League: Cats
Saturday, May 14, 2-3pm
As part of their Mutt-i-grees in the Library initiative, North Shore Animal League America will introduce teens to a shelter animal to show the wonders of empathy. Working together to create adoption posters, teens will unmask a hero in themselves by helping and animal to find a loving, responsible home – they give a voice to the voiceless. Teens will learn about Animal League America, which is the world’s largest no-kill rescue and adoption, and the origin of the word Mutt-i-gree, as well as how they can make a difference in the lives of shelter pets in our community. Yes there will be a live cat at this program. BPY633

Dinner and a Book
Tuesdays, May 17, 6-7pm and June 21, 5:30-6:30pm
While we eat some pizza let’s sit around and talk books in this very informal book club. Bring in your favorite book to talk about, peruse some books to check out, trade books and play a few book games. BPY507

Financial Literacy: Energy Detectives
Friday, May 20, 7-7:45pm
Students will learn how money can be saved while also protecting the environment. Students begin by finding classmates that practice certain energy-consuming or energy-conserving behaviors and discuss why these practices are either good or bad. BPY640 

Teen Speak: Scavenger Hunt Day!
Tuesday, May 24, 4-5pm
This will be the ultimate one room scavenger hunt. We’ll see what you can find on Scavenger Hunt Day. Chocolate Chip Cookies in a Jar
Wednesday, May 25, 4-5pm
Did you celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day last week? Well, we forgot as well, but we felt we could make it up today with chocolate chip cookies. You can also make your own cookies in a jar to bake at home or give as a gift! Limited openings. BPY905 

Spider Bots
Thursday, May 26, 4-5pm
We’ll be making Spider Bots for those that didn’t get a chance last time. Come in and see if you can get a few paperclips to jump around. BPY300

Minecraft             
Fridays, May 27, 4-6pm and June 24, 3-5pm
We’ve combined the Teens and Tweens Minecraft! Come in and play a few games, challenge yourself, challenge your friends or work on the challenge we give you. We’ll have surprises and refreshments! BPY205
