Mutt-i-grees: Puppies
Friday, July 14, 2-3pm
A visit from the North
Shore Animal League with a few very loveable, adoptable puppies. As part of their Mutt-i-grees in the
Library initiative, North Shore Animal League America will introduce teens to
shelter animals to show the wonders
of empathy. Working together to create adoption posters, teens will build a
better world by helping an animal to find a loving, responsible home – they
give a voice to the voiceless. Teens will learn about Animal League America,
which is the world’s largest no-kill rescue and adoption, and the origin of the word Mutt-i-gree,
as well as how they can make a difference in the lives of shelter pets in our community.

out forms at every program between June 1st and August 2nd. You can write out a
question and answer and we’ll put them all together for today’s challenge! Then

Get Ready For Middle School or a refresher program for teens already in. Did you ever worry about speaking in front of others? If the answer is yes then this workshop is for you! We’ll explore how to grab your audience’s attention, organize your thoughts, make sure that the right words come at the right time and some other basic skills that will give you an edge on connecting with an audience. Getting a point across clearly and having some fun while presenting will build your confidence and get you comfortable speaking in public. BPY624

Come in and meet the creatures that Build a Better
World. Meet Stickers, the tree frog,
Tickles the hedgehog and Cheeks the Chinchilla and discover how important their
roles are in nature. Yes, you are encouraged to pet and touch each creature. We
will also be handing out prizes from the Teen Summer Reading Club and more!
