Opportunities
Community
Service is open to resident teens in the 6th through 12th
grade. You must register for all
programs including the Community Service Programs. Please, remember that Teen
Volunteering or Teen Community Service is the teen’s responsibility. Thank you.
Resident teens in 6th-12th grade
even if you have already done Mutt-i-grees before please come in and pick up
the new application and instructions. Teens can earn up to three
community service hours per month. You can work on these projects at
home. Applications for this program will be in the Young Adult area. Please
read applications carefully. You must have the application filled
out before you bring in your projects.
Community Service Teen Book ReviewResident teens can now earn three community service hours per month by reviewing teen books from our Young Adult New Fiction collection. Go to http://www.bayportbluepointlibrary.org/ and Programs: Young Adult and click on the link for Teen Book Review for all instructions.

Youth
Advisory Council
Fridays,
July 14, 5:30-6:15pm and August 18, 3-4pm
All teens
are welcome to participate in their Youth Advisory Council. Meet with your
friends and Ms. Riley, the Young Adult Librarian. We will be discussing the
Parade, New Community Service programs and your ideas for programs, books and
more. Refreshments will be served as we brainstorm new ideas. Please remember
Community Service is based on participation. Please register for this program.

Museum Staff in Training
Tuesday,
July 11, 4-5pm
Join this
training program for forward-thinking teens who want to explore the career
of education in a museum setting. Gain confidence in connecting people to
art and history, and earn an hour of community service credit. BPY638
Mutt-i-grees: Pet Toys
Thursday, July 13, 3:30-5pm
Register
for this program where you can receive an hour and a half of community service
helping a few shelter dogs and cats by providing them with a toy. We will
present our friends from NSAL: Mutt-i-grees with the items we make at their

Drive-in Movie Night Buddies

Assist children in building their race cars and games.
We need a limited number of volunteers to assist with this program. Please
